My collaboration with the Fy-Solstice label began in 2005 and has resulted in two CDs: Les rayons du jour in 2005 and Over the sea in 2013.
This new CD brings together four recent pieces: one for vocal ensemble, ensemble instrumental and electronics, Visio (2016, text from Hildegard von Bingen's Book of Visions) - two chamber works, En noir et or (2017), my fourth string quartet, and Lament (2015) for solo viola - lastly a violin concerto, Missing (2017) written in memory of Devy Erlih. These four pieces were recorded by Radio France.
To them I have added La ligne d'ombre (2004) for orchestra, already released on the Aeon label in 2011. The remarkable interpretation recently given by the OFJ (French Youth Orchestra) conducted by David Zinman, encouraged me to make this new version known.
The four aforementioned pieces are all representative of the evolution in my writing due in large part to my work on electronics carried out at IRCAM for Over the sea and Visio. This is, moreover, the reason why I chose to give this CD the generic title Visio.
