The relationship to painting is an essential element of my music: Pluie-Vapeur-Vitesse (Rain-Steam-Speed) is the title of a painting by William Turner that was the subject of an article I wrote for the Télérama magazine supplement about the Turner-Whistler exhibit at the Orsay Museum.
I wanted to expand on this propos by composing a piece for ensemble.
