Duo Concertant Op.55
Play a sample
The Duo Concertant op. 55 (1861) is probably the ?rst work to have been written for soprano and alto saxophones and piano. It is in three movements (Risoluto, Andante and Allegretto), and is unlike the rest of Singelée's output. This composition should be considered as one of the ?rst pieces of chamber music ever to have been written for saxophone.
