These etudes are among the most beautiful written for flute in the 19th century. They complete the two albums published by the some editor and present a comprehensive range of the instrument's playing possibilities.
It is wise to always remember that the flute should never be dominated or "tamed". It is the body that must be left free to vibrate. The music con then be "incarnated".
