Saxophone method for beginners
Play a sample
The evolution of musical instruction has led children to begin the study of the saxophone at an increasingly earlier age. Students often begin as early as eight years old - and this method has been conceived for then. It is addressed, through its simplicity and its diversity, to students of all ages who wish to play the saxophone.
The CD, re-recorded in 2004, includes the saxophone and piano version of all the music introduced in this method.
The young saxophonist can very soon perform with family or friends in a variety of musical situations: duos or trios on alto saxophone, with piano, or with the CD, using the stereo balance control to "mute" the saxophone.
This method prepares the student for the preparatory level after one school year (two trimesters for rapid students) with daily practice of 30 to 40 minutes.
