VISSER Dick

Dick Visser (Hoorn, Holland, 1926 - 2012) was widely known as a guitarist and as a pedagogue. As head of the guitar faculty of the Amsterdam Conservatory, he gained a reputation for the way in which he prepared a vast number of students as teaching or performing artist. Quite often he has been asked to be a jury member for international competitions. At the same time, he concentrated on composing, giving special attention to works for guitar, guitar duo, guitar trio or in combination with other instruments.
