Dog eat dog is a rhythmic, playful music of gestures, made up of three brief moments, each one constructed on a simple idea: glissandi, crescendo and rise towards the upper register for the first movement - damped notes and harmonic pizzicati for the cello in the second - and percussive blows on the instrument's body, acceleration and deceleration in the third. Each movement is a short scene, always with two characters who look for each other, complement each other, and put each other in danger. The first movement, this guitar playing, bottleneck in hand, the haunting glissandi, is a veiled reference to the Wim Wenders film Paris-Texas and Ry Cooder's guitar.
