Intended for teaching fur poses, pieces 1 to 4 of opus 73 are short and progressive. As varied in form as they are in spirit, they alternate between dances (minuet, pavane, slow dance, tango...), romantic, baroque or exotic forms (barcarole, lullay, passacaglia, ragtime, choro...) and other pieces inspired by landscapes, sensations, or "snap-shots" (Légende d'Aubrac, Le petit cheval, La maison de Marchastel...)
The various colourful atmospheres move from one to the next without conflicting, since they are driven by the same inspiration and momentum.
Wish all of the guitarists who get to know them, the same pleasure I felt when composing and playing them.
