25/09/1990 - Théâtre des Champs Elisées, Paris - Thierry Miroglio (percussion), Claude Pavy (guitar)
The title is taken from Rabelais's famous passage about frozen words. The words themselves reach a verdict in the hyper objectivity of a rigid world, in the delirium of an auditory hallucination. It is doubtless a question of an as yet medieval image of insanity, of a fantastical figure of the Temptation. It is an Apocalyptic dream brimming with fury and foretelling disorder, pernicious confusion and panmixia. Volleys of bells, so dear to Rabelais, move across a landscape of delights, as evoked by the electric guitar, a deceptive landscape that seems strangely close to the End.
