Being able to play chamber music, whether in duet or in larger ensembles, is a highly enriching personal and musical experience.
As a teacher, I encourage my students to partake of this experience as soon as they start lessons, but l have often had problems finding simple guitar duets in which both parts are musically interesting. This was my main preoccupation while preparing these pieces
There are 9 songs: vidalas, typical of Northwest Argentina, and originally sung with two voices in parallel thirds. Una flor de la cantuta and tonada are popular Chilean songs. Nesta rue is Brazilian.
