The docks of a port city, a derelict hangar: Quai Ouest has a time-less, placeless setting. Almost 30 years after he wrote it, Bernard-Marie Koltès's play has been adapted for the opera. Régis Campo, French composer of nearly 200 works, set the contemporary tragedy to music. ln 30 scenes, it tells the story of a fugitive businessman and his improhable encounter with an immigrants son. The world premiere in Strasbourg is part of the Musica festival.
