Celso Machado


Born at Ribeiro Preto in 1953, near São Paulo in Brazil, he studied classical guitar with Waston Brito. ln 1972, while pursuing his studies, he played in night clubs for very famous brazilian singers. He started his international career in 1982 in Great Britain, then in Italy and Germany.
He plays as easily sambas, chôro, as baiao and frêvo which are typical of the Brazil North-East music. As a player, he is caracterized by a power in rhythm, a subtility in harmony and a magy in moves. He masters so well his instrument that he is able to perfectly imitate a lot of various different instruments.
He is now living in Canada.
