Délia Estrada


Born in 1957 in Buenos Aires, she began studying guitar at the age of 8 attracted by folkloric music from Argentina. She studied classical guitar at Conservatoire Juan Jose Castro in Argentina, and she came to Paris in 1977.
She participates at many festivals (Cracow, Silesian Guitar Autumn in Poland, Internationale Tage der Gitarre in Berlin, Craux, Esztergom in Hungary, Saison Musicale de Montsoreau, Paris-Banlieue Tango, Jeudis musicaux des églises romanes, Musiques du cœur au Marais, etc...)
In 1997, she has created a Trio for flute, violin and guitar called Ensemble Confluences.
In 1996 and 1999, she have recording with Benoît Fromanger (flute), Frédéric Laroque (violin) and Pablo Marquez (guitar) a CD in the series Guitare Plus (vol.19 and 33) under the label Mandala/Harmonia Mundi.
Now, Délia Estrada play all the classical music for guitar, promotes the popular music from South America and particularly the traditional music from Argentina, and plays with different musicians (voice, violin, flute, bandoneon, guitars and percussion).
